I Am A Very Lucky Man

I was working on my lathe today and my glove got caught on the piece that I was working on and pulled my hand into the lathe and completely captured my hand so tight that it completely tore up my glove and it didn't stop turning until my hand and glove jamed the machine and released the clutch on the lathe. After the clutch disengaged I reached over with my other hand to turn of the machine, and the extracted my hand from the lathe. Miraculously I only go a small cut on my hand and a cut on the back of my four arm from the chuck spinning agains my arm. I can say it hurt and I will be a little sore but mostly it scared the shit out of me!!! Here is what was left of my glove. I guess I will be more carefull in the future.

More Big Mountain Run Tennessee 2009

Here are more pictures of the Big Mountain Run Tennessee 2009. There was fun, spills and chills on the Big Mountain Run. Got a big chill in the river, found fun in the jugs of moonshine. And some had a few spills along the way. Paul and Beacon had to help there friend when he ran off the road and landed half way down a steep drop off in to a creek. The bike was stopped by the tree. The guys had to take the bike the rest of the way down the ravine through the creek and up the other side to get the bike out. After they got the bike out it started right up with only a broken clutch lever. He didn't even get hurt. Amazing.
