Vegetable tanned purse

Making purses is always something I wanted to do but never felt my tools and manufacturing methods were up to par to finally be able to make something that would satisfy my quest for perfection. It has cost me tens of thousands and countless hours and wasted materials to finally be able to make purses amazing enough to be worthy of the Rich Phillips name. This purse here is made of vegetable tanned leather that comes from the same tannery that Louis Vuitton uses for their luxury purses. The cows must not live In fenced in areas because there is no blemishes or bug bites on these beautiful hides. The leather is dyed a few different layers of brown and burgundy. It is lined with a neutral ultrasuede on the interior. The chain is stainless steel with stainless steel shackles holding it on. It measures 3" deep by 12" wide and 7" tall. These can made in many colors. If you are interested the price is $749.00. You can reach me at 314-392-7841 or email at bikersaddles@yahoo.com

Briefcase

I built this Briefcase to look good with a suit as well as with work clothes and a hard hat. It is made out of thicker leather than a tool belt but is surprisingly light. I used 100 percent whole grain veg tanned leather and it has no clasps snaps or zippers to wear out over time. Guaranteed for a hundred years. And I can do it in many colors. It is 15" by 12" and 3" deep. If you are interested give us a call at 314-392-7841 or email at bikersaddles@yahoo.com. Price starts at 549.00.

Recently started making shoes

, originally uploaded by Richard Grabbe.

I have always been very intiristed in any and all styles of leather work. Recently my wife's uncle who is a shoe maker and repair specialist made his own shoes. He schooled me on how to make my own and let me buy some soles from him start this new endeavor. I have become quite obsessed with it and can't hardly pull myself away from doing it. I have made around five pairs so far and I have only kept one pair for myself. It is so amazing to see them come together and there is so many ways to do it. Different soles and techniques. This type of learning is my passion and what keeps me doing this type of work. If you are wanting a custom made pair youth inquire within. The most basic ones I can make for you would start at 299.00
